Important Rate Changes for 2019

The Lakeside Water District Board has looked into various billing methods in order to continue providing water service to our customers and meet the demands of increased maintenance and repair costs.  It is our goal to provide quality water service and make responsible financial decisions for the district.

At this time, we have chosen to keep the current rates of $31.14 for the minimum monthly water usage.  We are, however, lowering the minimum monthly usage from 3,000 gallons to 2,000 gallons.  The rate for water use above the 2,000 gallon minimum will remain $6.38 per 1,000 gallons used.

This change was made based upon current usage data and cost of water supplied by the City of Carbondale.  Factors that influence rate determinations for the district are maintenance, repairs, EPA compliance, and the cost of water from the City of Carbondale.
